FinHub CX Ledger

Summary

Sixt is a leading car rental application with an extensive network of locations worldwide. This project focused on enhancing the responsive web and mobile app experiences, aiming to create a more modular and scalable platform. The goal was to address key user pain points and deliver a seamless, superior user experience that stands out in the competitive market.

My role in this project is to thoroughly understand the user flow, design the architecture of screens, and create responsive final UI screens using the existing OXIDE Design System.

This project involved a large, collaborative design team, with each member assigned to different modules. I was responsible for the Self-Service Invoice Correction module, where I contributed to streamlining and enhancing user interactions.

Let’s Dive into the Self-Service Invoice Correction Feature

This was an entirely new feature that we needed to integrate into the existing application. The process began with a walkthrough of the flow led by the project manager, based on the feasibility of technical integration. We also had the flexibility to suggest changes that could further enhance the user experience.

High-fidelity wireframe

Once we finalised the walkthrough of the flow, we decided to skip a few steps and jump straight into creating high-fidelity wireframes to optimise for time. At this stage, we also proposed our innovative ideas, ensuring alignment and clarity before moving forward.

Final outcome

Following final approval of the flow, we crafted UI screens with a focus on optimal responsiveness. Using a four-grid system, we designed for six breakpoints: two for mobile, one for tablet, two for laptops, and one for desktop. This approach ensured a seamless and consistent experience across all device types.

After finalizing the frames, we focused on crafting the final UI screens, leveraging components and adhering to the OXIDE Design System guidelines. A standout achievement was streamlining the self-service invoice correction process, transforming it into an intuitive and user-friendly experience for a seamless workflow.

Takeaways!

This project was a unique opportunity to collaborate with a large and diverse design team, including several senior designers. It taught me the importance of teamwork and the intricacies of navigating a thorough review cycle. I also gained valuable experience in collaborating with different stakeholders to align goals effectively. Additionally, I learned how to leverage a design system to create polished, final UI screens, ensuring consistency and quality across the product.

Thank yoy for taking immense interest in our work...
